Charlebois Council meets on the 2nd
Tuesday of each month (except July and August).
Jack Kennedy was a member of our Council since 1948. our Grand Knight in
1953-54, a member and chair of the Kelsey School Division Board (1962-69)
and a former Mayor of The Pas. He served his community well during his many
years of service.

District Deputy for District #05
Bro. Ken Kelly has accepted the position of
District Deputy. He was presented with his DD certificate by Manitoba State
Deputy Karl Brosch (R) at the September 17th District meeting..
Program Award Received
At the September meeting the Council
was presented with a Columbian Award for 2014-15. It reflects the breadth of
programs (4 in each of 4 categories) offered by the Council.
Council Members Trim Trees
On August 31st, Knights (L-R) Carlson,
Otchenash, Wadelius, Kelly, and Archbishop Chatlain trimmed back the trees
on the west side of the cathedral, and hauled the cuttings away. Council
Chaplain Fr Vijay also helped (and took this photo).
Charlebois Council Donates to
A donation of $5,000 from Charlebois Council
was made to assist with ceiling repairs of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart
Cathedral. It provoked smiles all around, and it is hoped other parishioners
will be motivated to donate as well. The fund raising campaign continues.
Parish Project with KC
The local Council prepared and served a supper for the
Diocesan Study Days participants on September 14th.
Community Food Programs
Charlebois Council made donations in October
2015 to three school breakfast

Our newsletter has undergone a change. It is
now presented as a PDF document and can be found via the Newsletter tab
on the left panel.
ICCD Tickets Sales for
sale of 2016-17 raffle tickets has started. Knights are asked to
get some books from project chair Rick Klima.
On April 26, 2010 the 1st
annual Rock, Paper,
Scissors Challenge, sponsored by
Charlebois Council, was held at
École Scott Bateman Middle School.
The 7th annual event took place on April 25, 2016. Winners from

Charlebois Council #2704, founded on
December 2, 1928, is named after
Bishop Ovid Charlebois, the first Bishop of Keewatin-Le Pas diocese and an early Oblate
missionary in northern Manitoba.
Charlebois Council works with Our Lady of the Sacred Heart
Roman Catholic parish in The Pas, providing funds for
various projects. Council members are active participants in this Parish.

Charlebois Council sponsored a stained glass window in the Cathedral of
Our Lady of the Sacred Heart in The Pas.
