Council Meetings
 Charlebois Council meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month (except July and August).

 Some of our recent community activities are shown below.

  Practicing Catholic men may contact the Grand Knight directly to discuss the aims
  and objectives of the Order. Ask any Knight for a pamphlet that describes the benefits
  of membership. Indicate your interest and an Application for Membership form
  will be provided.

   A new on-line membership requiring no local Council or meeting involvement is now
   also available to those interested. This type of membership allows access to KC
   insurance programs.  To find out more about this option, visit:

St. Paul's Personal Care Home Birthday Party
Held on Saturday, Feb 23, 2019 the Council sponsored the birthday party for the residents of St. Paul's Personal Care Home with a cake and entertainment for the residents. This was the 11th year of the Council's participation.


Nativity Display Setup & Takedown

Removing the Nativity display was done on January 12 by Bros. Fiori, Kelly, Richards, Maksymchuk and Carlson. Missing from the photo - Bros. V. J. and V. Wadelius.

Christmas season started in December with the Council's set up of a nativity display in front of the cathedral.


 Community Food for Families Program
Charlebois Council has made donations in 2014-15, 2015-16, 2016-17, and 2017-18 to school breakfast programs and adult food programs in The Pas. Another round of support was given in October for 2018-19.

GK Carlson presents a donation to Kelsey Community School's breakfast coordinator Dayna Kerslake & Principal Jay Marin. GK Carlson presents a donation to Opasquia School's breakfast coordinator Amy Johnson & Principal Cam Nagle. GK Carlson presents a donation to Lorraine Packo, coordinator for the Northern Gateway Chaplaincy's breakfast program.

 Yard Cleanup Revisited
 Responding to a request of Sacred Heart Parish for a fall grass cutting on diocese property, Brother Maksymchuk led three members of Charlebois Council (Bros. Otchenash, Hlady and Wadelius) to complete the task in September.

Supreme Knight Carl Anderson calls for action in response to the sexual abuse crisis and outlines roles that chaplains and Knights should play. Read More

 Annual Parish Yard Cleanup 2018
 A good turnout of knights and parishioners resulted in a total yard cleanup completed in three hours on May 12. Thanks to KC members and supporters who gave a hand. A full trailer load was removed.


 Rock, Paper, Scissors Challenge 2018
 On April 26, 2010 the 1st annual Rock, Paper, Scissors Challenge, sponsored by
 Charlebois Council, was held at
École Scott Bateman Middle School.
 Winners from the 9th annual event in 2018 and previous years can be seen HERE.

 2018 Manitoba State Conference
The annual conference on May 13-15 provided an opportunity for two brothers who are Grand Knights to meet again. (L) Vaughn Wadelius of Charlebois Council in The Pas and (R) Lance Wadelius of Beausejour Council.


 Easter Bread Sharing
At the Easter services in 2018, for the fifth year in a row, Charlebois Council distributed a loaf of bread to each Our Lady of the Sacred Heart parish family in The Pas, and also to the parish in Cormorant.

 Council Dinner
The Council celebrated its 90th anniversary with a Chinese food dinner on November 13, 2018.
 It was an opportunity to provide a treat to our spouses and special guests.
 Coats for Kids
This is the third year that Charlebois Council has donated new winter jackets for those
 children who may need them. The coats were distributed through the two Early Years
 schools in October.


 Sacred Heart Cathedral Renovations
  In May 2017 a cathedral floor replacement fund-raising project was started. Charlebois Council stepped up again with a $5,000 donation to kick it off. The project was completed in August. A second donation of $5,000 was made in October to further the fund-raising goal.

 ICCD Tickets Sales
 Best Seller in 2018-19 was again Bro. Ken Kelly. Sellers' draw will be made in May. Bro. Rick Klima did a great job chairing this successful project.

 About Our Council

Charlebois Council #2704, founded on
December 2, 1928, is named after Bishop Ovid Charlebois, the first Bishop of Keewatin-Le Pas diocese and an early Oblate missionary in northern Manitoba. 

Charlebois Council works with Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic parish in The Pas, providing funds for various projects. Council members are active participants in this Parish.

  Stained Glass Windows
